Privacy

layr.dynshift.com is a static site. There are no accounts, no forms that send data, and no server of ours that sees your requests beyond GitHub Pages, which hosts the files.

#Analytics

When analytics is enabled, the site asks before loading Google Analytics. Nothing is loaded until you accept, and declining is remembered in your browser. Analytics counts page views so the documentation can be improved.

#Advertising

Advertising pays for the time that goes into LAYR, which is free and MIT licensed. It is supplied by Google AdSense: when advertising is on, every page loads Google's advertising script, and a few places carry one advertisement, labelled Advertisement: a band on the home page, one slot in the Library, and the docs' side rail on wide screens. Never inside documentation text, code, API tables or the playground.

Google may set cookies or read similar identifiers to serve and measure those advertisements, and in some regions to personalise them. How Google uses that data is described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's advertising policies. This site sees none of it.

#Your choices

• In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message appears on your first visit and asks before anything is used to personalise advertising. To change your answer later, use Privacy settings in the footer; it appears only where the message applies.
• Anywhere, you can turn off personalised advertising at My Ad Center and block or delete cookies in your browser. The site works the same without them.
• With an ad blocker, nothing here argues with it: no wall, no nag.

#What stays in your browser

Your theme choice, your analytics answer, and the code in a playground link (it lives in the URL itself) stay on your device. Nothing you type in the playground is sent anywhere: the compiler runs in your browser.
